Philadelphia Go Green Expo happening this weekend
The Philadelphia Go Green Expo is happening this weekend at the Convention Center. If you're interested in going, it's in very close walking distance to the 8th & Market Patco station so you can easily hop a ride from any of the South Jersey Patco stations. No need to drive into the city and find parking.
There isn't anything specific in regards to locavorism in the region, but there will be a variety of food and beverage exhibitors - some more interesting than others. I'll be blogging about what I find there on Mother Nature Network next week.
I'm writing about it here, though, because I figured the expo would interest many locavores, and I plan on turning my trip to the Expo into a mini-locavore excursion, too. I'm finally going to get over to the Fair Food Stand at Reading Terminal which is very close by, too. I'm looking forward to grabbing some local cheese and perhaps even some wine from Blue Mountain Vinyards from Lehigh Valley.
If you're looking for something local that is actually going on in South Jersey this weekend, don't forget that Springdale Farms Market in Cherry Hill opens for the season this Friday.
I expect to posting more often starting next week as we get closer and closer to spring.
